In 2026\, it will be our 6th anniversary.\nThe idea has been brewing for a while\, so we want to do it in 2026: an easy-going craft beer festival\, with a nicely curated list of Belgian and international brewers\, friends of the Hops\, from throughout the years. You could call it an invitational fest for our birthday\, surrounded by fellow brewery friends and beer lovers from Leuven and beyond.\nWe specifically want to keep the event enjoyable for everyone\, guests and brewers\, hence we look for a line up of approx. 20 brewers (8 Leuven/Belgian + 8 international and an extra “North America corner/ Yes You CAN”).\nLOCATION\nA laid-back atmosphere in a nice setting close to the center of Leuven: Hal 5.\nFormer train warehouses\, this event hall is within close walking distance of Leuven city center and very easily accessible with public transport (train/bus station less than 5 min walk\, city center approx. 10-15 min walk).\nThe event space offers a cozy indoor area which will consist of:\nBrewery standsA festival shop (hosted by yours truly)Small seating area + standing areaExtra seating area in extra hall next to itSome background music (no bands or DJ)Outdoor includes an extra event seating area (terrace) and a very large public park where guests can casually sit and enjoy a good time.\nHal 5 has its own food vendors (Antico Sourdough pizza\, Habibi Falafel & Palestinian food\, Memorijs Ice cream + bar with soft drinks)\, so this is also covered for the event.
